During the implementation of the power plant was achieved the best possible roof area utilization and the potential of the available “solar radiation” resource.

Two types of modules were used during the construction – mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline.

The first module type – Kyocera KC130GHT-2, 528 pcs., feed the generated electricity to 12 inverters. To each inverter are connected 44 modules, distributed in 2 strings of 22 modules.

The second type of modules – Solar Swiss SSM-150/12М are 324 pcs. and feed the generated electricity to 6 inverters. To each inverter are connected 54 modules, distributed in 2 strings of 27 modules. The successive connection of the modules in string is carried out by installed factory cables with standard MC3 connectors.

Both end modules of each string with DC cable IBC Flexy Sun 1х6 mm2 type are connected to the inverter input. The cable is for outdoor, mobile or fixed installation and resistant to weather conditions, high and low temperatures and UV radiation. The diversification on module image and price on one hand provides first-class branded modules (Kyocera), and at the same time, thanks to the cheaper modules (Solar Swiss) the total cost of the investment is maintained low.

The inverters used by SMA Technologies are Sunny Mini Central SMC 8000TL and Sunny Mini Central SMC 5000А. These are single-phase inverters with inputs for 4 strings.

From each inverter exits a СВТс 2х16.0 mm2 cable and goes to a properly sized circuit breaker into intermediate switchboard. The intermediate switchboards are six. There are 3 inverters connected to each intermediate switchboard. From each intermediate switchboard 1 to intermediate switchboard 2, to which are connected Sunny Mini Central SMC 5000А inverters, exits a СВТс 4х10,0 mm2 cable and goes to a properly sized circuit breaker into a main switchboard. From intermediate switchboard 5 to intermediate switchboard 6, to which are connected Sunny Mini Central SMC 8000TL type inverters, exits a СВТс 4х16,0 мм2 cable and goes to a properly sized circuit breaker into a main switchboard. The main switchboard powers also a warning light voltmeters, ammeters, outlet and UPS and it is installed inside the building on the right elevator tower. Control electrometer is installed in the main switchboard. Cathode surge arresters are provided against atmospheric excess voltage given the high cost of the investment.

The earthing of modules, inverters, main and intermediate switchboards is performed using earthing devices, consisting of 2 galvanized 2” pipes with 2 m in length. The inverter and switchboard earthing bolts are connected with the zero bar.

All metal non-current-carrying parts are welded to the grounding circuit.

The lightning protection system consists of 2 lightning shafts with a height of 10.5 m, located on the roof of the building. There is an early streamer emission lightning conductor “Shirteс” installed. Monitoring and control is carried out with a Sunny Web Box device
